Hi, I'm Alonso

I've spent my whole life building things — first by hand, now with an agent by my side. I started out publishing games in physical form, back when that meant actually shipping boxes, discs and manuals, not just pushing a build to a store. That's where I picked up the habit of thinking a project isn't worth anything until you can touch it, play it, or hear it.

Already shipped:

  • VC·Anvil — an ecosystem of multi-system emulators written from scratch (Atari Lynx, Virtual Boy and Sharp X68000 out now, more on the way)
  • Tubelight — a high-fidelity cross-platform CRT shader that injects into any game on Windows and Linux
  • MSXFileForge — a native MSX disk and file editor

And I keep adding more.

What I'm building right now: an audio/video compressor with its own codecs, several native games for MSX and other 8/16-bit machines, AI art and music tools... and an operating system of my own, from scratch, because apparently the rest wasn't enough.

I'm not a trained programmer. My thing is vibe coding: I direct, I decide, I bring the judgment and the taste, and I let the AI write the code while I verify that what comes out is actually correct, not just "looks like it works." Turns out you can build serious software this way, held to real quality standards, and I'm proving it project by project.

What's next: more finished systems in VC·Anvil, a unified front-end for the whole ecosystem, and a few more ideas already in the queue.
